“I liked the opportunity to take the time to think about who I am and what would make a job or internship really valuable to me,” said Fernandez-Dieguez. “Before I work on finding a job, I want to know I’m headed in the right direction. The session was a time for introspection, and I got to hear other student’s insights, too.”
Interning allows students to choose or eliminate future career options without risking longtime commitment. Also, students have opportunities to network and make tight connections with professionals.
My chemistry and french background allowed me to connect with my scientist colleagues at the Embassy.
Four years of undergraduate research in Spanish and History has inspired me to continue on to a career in international policy.

The best way for me to learn is by working with and learning from Spanish speaking students and educators in their own voices.
I have always loved the sky and I am curious about how things work in space and determining solutions for things we do not yet know or understand in our universe.
